About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and passionateLead Engineerto lead frontend engineering efforts forCLOUDPORT, Amagi's flagship product. This role is ideal for an experienced frontend developer with a strong technical foundation, a passion for mentoring engineers, and a desire to build scalable and performant applications in thevideo techspace.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping frontend architecture, mentoring team members, ensuring engineering excellence, and delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced product environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of frontend architecture and features using React.js and TypeScript.
• Guide and mentor a team of 25 frontend engineers.
• Drive frontend best practices maintain a high bar on code quality, performance, and test coverage (unit, integration, automation).
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to translate business requirements into seamless frontend experiences.
• Lead technical decision making and ensure robust, scalable UI solutions aligned with the overall product roadmap.
• Proactively identify technical debt and propose scalable improvements.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Champion modern frontend workflows and CI/CD processes.

Required Qualifications

• 68 years of frontend development experience with at least 1+ years leading teams.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Strong experience with React.js and its ecosystem: Redux, RxJs, Immutable.js, Webpack, Babel.
• Practical knowledge of REST APIs, WebSocket, WebRTC, and/or Server Sent Event integration.
• Proficient in debugging and performance profiling using browser-based tools.
• Solid understanding of how browsers work under the hood (DOM, rendering pipelines, caching, etc).
• Comfortable working in Linux/Mac environments.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity withMaterial-UIor similar component libraries.
• Exposure toAWS services EC2, S3, Cloudfront, ElasticCache, Lambda, API Gateway.
• Backend development experience inGoorPython
• Understanding of container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
