Lead Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced ICD-ICM Billing Lead Engineer to join our Insurance practice. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ICD-ICM Billing or Distribution Management, Java technologies, and insurance product engineering. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering high-quality solutions while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders across the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do:

• Understand domain/client requirements and develop quality software using software engineering principles and best practices.
• Create scalable and reusable designs using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology.
• Drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Analyze and resolve issues during testing and production support phases.
• Estimate development effort and ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.
• Develop APIs and interfaces for enterprise applications.
• Support application deployment using CI/CD practices.
• Mentor and guide development teams for JB4 roles.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong experience working on ICD-ICM Billing or Distribution Management solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java technologies.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, REST and SOAP Web Services.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and modern web standards.
• Experience with source control and build management tools such as SVN.
• Strong application design and technical leadership capabilities (for JB4 roles).
• Prior knowledge of Billing platforms such as Duck Creek or Guidewire is preferred.
• Experience in Broker/Channel Management and Commission Processing is desirable.
• Prior knowledge of Billing platforms such as Duck Creek or Guidewire is preferred.
• Exposure to North American Life & Annuity products is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe development practices
