What You'll Do
As the Lead Engineer Manufacturing Excellence, you will lead the deployment of manufacturing excellence across multiple manufacturing sites by integrating Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industry 4.0 capabilities. You will partner with plant leadership and functional teams to drive operational excellence, standardize best practices, and build sustainable continuous improvement capability aligned with Eaton's Continuous Improvement System (ECIS).
- Lead manufacturing excellence deployment across multiple plants aligned to ECIS.
- Develop and execute multi-plant manufacturing excellence roadmaps.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and CI initiatives (VSM, Kaizen, standard work, SMED).
- Partner with Plant Managers to identify systemic losses and replicate best practices.
- Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives to improve scalability and capability.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives to improve FPY and reduce scrap/rework.
- Lead Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives including MES deployment.
- Establish governance, KPI reviews, and visual management systems.
- Coach and develop CI and Manufacturing Engineering talent.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Requirement:
- Masters/Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in manufacturing excellence or CI leadership.
Skills
- Candidates having valid US Visa(B1/B2) will be an added advantage
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Industry 4.0 / MES deployment experience.
- High-mix or complex manufacturing exposure.
- Proven multi-site leadership experience.
- Strong Lean, CI, manufacturing engineering, and quality systems expertise.
- Team player, ability to get things done through teams effectively
- Managerial courage - doesn't hold back that needs to be said; provides positive & corrective feedback
- Decision quality - makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
- Business acumen - knows how business work; knowledgeable in current and possible future technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Position requires 40% travel ( both domestic & International )
