Lead Engineer - Exhaust

RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance management and manufacturing
processes
. Expert knowledge of CAD tools and PLM workflows
.Lead design and development of exhaust systems or major subsystems, including:
. Front pipe, flex pipe
. Catalytic converter / DPF / GPF / SCR

. Underbody routing

. Mufflers and tailpipes.
. Develop designs from:
. Concept feasibility → detailed CAD → production release.
. Ensure compliance with:
. Packaging constraints
. Thermal and durability requirements
. OEM design standards and best practices
. Correct GD&T application
. Manufacturing-ready drawings
. Adherence to CAD standards and naming conventions
. BOM
. Drive DFMEA workshops and design risk mitigation activities
. Define DFM and DFA design guidelines for components
. Lead packaging and integration studies within vehicle architecture.
. Manage engineering changes and design release processes
. Coordinate with global engineering teams and suppliers
. Review CAD models and drawings for design quality and compliance
. Guide engineers on CAD standards and modeling best practices
. Support advanced design problem solving and technical decisions
. Ensure successful design delivery across engineering programs
