Key Responsibilities
- Own the entire lifecycle of embedded software architecture at River.
- Oversee and manage the firmware and embedded software development process such as design,
- Develop, and maintain firmware and embedded software components for various vehicle systems.
- Driving the software team to enable a vision of connected and software defined products.
- Implement and optimize firmware algorithms, drivers, and protocols to meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate with system architects and hardware engineers to ensure integration, compatibility and efficiency of firmware/embedded software with other vehicle systems.
- Conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues related to firmware/embedded software.
- Managerial experience in leading, mentoring a team of direct reportees.
- Determining the appropriate communication protocols and interfaces between different subsystems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 for functional safety.
Ideal Candidate
- Master degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 to 16 years in embedded Automotive Embedded Software Development.
- 10+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
- In-depth knowledge of microcontroller architectures and embedded systems.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their implementation.
- Experience with firmware testing and validation methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and execution rigor.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
