Solid understanding of control & operation of major power plant systems, including:
Boiler, Turbine
HRSG, Balance of Plant (BOP)
Feedwater, condensate, and cooling water systems
Fuel handling systems (coal, gas, oil)
Electrical auxiliaries and protection interfaces
Lead project execution through all lifecycle stages:
Detailed project controls, graphics and database engineering
Design reviews
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Commissioning and start‑up support
Ensure engineering quality, schedule adherence, compliance with project standards, and quality ISO compliance
Plan, conduct, and lead Design Review Meetings (DRMs) with internal teams, customers, EPCs, and OEMs
Present control design, logic philosophy, graphics, database, and system architecture during DRMs
Prepare FAT plans, test scopes, and commissioning procedures in line with project requirements
Lead and coordinate customer FATs, ensuring closure of comments and variances
Prepare FAT/SAT procedures and test documentation
Prepare commissioning procedures, startup sequences, and testing guidelines
Provide on‑site technical leadership during commissioning and plant startup
Troubleshoot complex control, logic, and integration issues during startup and performance testing
Lead coordination with project managers, engineering teams, customers, and vendors
Support project planning and milestone tracking
Mentor junior engineers and review their technical deliverables
You show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations are exceptional at spotting and seizing opportunities. You deliver messages in a clear, compelling and concise manner and actively listens and checks for understanding. You enjoy challenge of unfamiliar tasks and seek innovative approaches to tackle a problem.
4 years bachelor's degree in ECE, EEE, I&C, E&I
8+ years of experience in automation project execution for power plants
Strong power plant process knowledge (thermal or combined‑cycle)
Prior experience as Lead Engineer / Technical Lead
Proven experience leading - Design reviews, FAT execution, Commissioning activities
Strong end‑to‑end DCS/PLC project lifecycle exposure
Understanding of industrial communication protocols
Willingness to travel for DRM, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
Clear customer‑facing communication skills
Problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and commission documents
Ability to optimally present information and respond to queries from management, clients and customers
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to technically lead and mentor engineering teams
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and site environments
