Lead Engineer

About Clymber

Clymber is an AI-powered learning platform helping students prepare more effectively for competitive exams through personalized, adaptive learning. We're building a product that combines strong educational design with AI to understand where students struggle, adapt their learning journey, and help them improve faster. We're looking for a highly hands-on Lead Engineer who can take ownership of our technology end-to-end — from keeping the existing platform reliable to building the next generation of AI-powered learning features. This is a remote role.

What you will own

You will have the technical ownership of Clymber's everyday functionality and work closely with the founders on product and technology decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the functionality, stability and ongoing development of our web platform
• Identify, debug and resolve technical issues quickly
• Build and ship new product features from idea to production
• Develop and improve AI-powered features across the learning experience
• Build applications, models and workflows using modern coding agents and AI development tools
• Translate complex product or learning problems into clear computational solutions
• Improve platform architecture, performance and scalability as we grow
• Take ownership of technical decisions and help define our longer-term engineering roadmap
• Work closely with the founders to rapidly prototype, test and iterate on new ideas

What we are looking for

• Strong experience building products, models, websites or applications using coding agents / AI-assisted development tools
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience developing AI/LLM-powered products
• Strong foundations in mathematics, statistics and probability
• Strong and fast computational thinking — you can break complex problems into logical systems and implement them efficiently
• Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of technical problems
• Ability to move quickly in a startup environment without sacrificing reliability
  

Preferred

• Experience with full-stack development
• Experience building mathematical, computational or educational frameworks/products
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or building products from 0→1
