Review, design, and detail civil and structural systems for complete WtE and Thermal Power Plants, including waste storage pits, boiler structures, turbine generator (STG) buildings, chimneys, silos, WTP, and balance-of-plant structures.
Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I teams to ensure integrated and constructible civil designs.
Prepare and review foundation layouts, RCC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, and pile foundations based on process and vendor inputs.
Prepare and review civil drawings, GA drawings, IFC drawings, bar bending schedules, and structural calculations.
Contribute to proposal engineering including civil BOQ estimation, cost optimization, quantity take-offs, and scope definition during tendering and bidding.
Coordinate with vendors, sub-consultants, and contractors to ensure timely completion and approval of civil engineering deliverables.
Review and approve vendor civil drawings, calculation notes, and construction methodologies following project specifications and codes.
Apply knowledge of international and regional design codes (IS, BS, Eurocodes, ACI or equivalent).
Participate in kick-off meetings, technical discussions, and client/consultant review meetings.
Provide site engineering support including site reviews, constructability assessments, BOQ verification, RCC quantity control, and resolution of site queries.
Review quality documentation such as ITPs, method statements, concreting protocols, and civil QA/QC records.
Support construction and commissioning stages, including resolution of civil punch points.
Guide and lead a civil engineering team, including reviewing drawings and mentoring engineers and draftspersons.
Participate in 3D drawing review workshops and building review meetings.
Maintain knowledge of plant auxiliary foundations, drain trench sizing, stormwater collection systems, and special corrosive environment foundations/buildings.
