Hiring: Lead Engineer – AWS Data Engineering

Location: Mumbai (Lower Parel) – Work From Office

About the Role

We are seeking a technically strong and delivery-focused Lead Engineer to support and enhance enterprise-grade data and application products under the Durables model. The ideal candidate will act as the primary technical interface for clients, ensuring high system availability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of data engineering solutions.

This role requires strong AWS Data Engineering expertise, hands-on technical leadership, client-facing experience, and the ability to mentor engineering teams while driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Support & Enhancement Leadership

• Lead support and enhancement activities for enterprise-grade data and application products.

• Ensure incident resolution, problem management, and enhancement delivery within agreed SLAs.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement long-term solutions.

• Design scalable, modular, and high-performing data engineering solutions.

• Work in Agile environments and drive continuous improvements.

Technical Ownership

• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership.

• Drive best practices in ETL processing, performance tuning, and cloud-native data engineering.

• Modernize legacy applications and data pipelines using AWS services.

• Build and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Python.

Client Engagement

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders.

• Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements.

• Participate in client discussions, technical presentations, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Team & Delivery Management

• Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams.

• Support resource planning, task allocation, and performance management.

• Ensure adherence to governance, documentation standards, change management, and high-availability practices.

Process & Quality Assurance

• Implement engineering best practices including CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.

• Maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories.

• Identify risks and dependencies and proactively implement mitigation plans.
