Position Summary & Scope
The Lead – Employee Engagement is a senior Human Resources professional responsible for architecting, driving, and sustaining a high-impact employee engagement ecosystem across the organization. Working as a strategic partner to Senior Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, CoEs, the role serves as the nerve-centre for culture, belonging, and workforce experience, translating business goals into meaningful people programs that inspire performance, celebrate organizational values, and foster an inclusive workplace.
The incumbent will own the national engagement calendar, lead the Rewards & Recognition program, champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and leverage AI-powered platforms to elevate employee experience at scale. The role collaborates closely with HR Business Partners across locations to ensure unified, consistent, and impactful engagement interventions.
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)
- To ensure that the Employee Engagement Framework is aligned with organizational values, business priorities, and culture transformation goals.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the annual Engagement Plan, ensuring a unified and consistent employee experience across all locations and business units.
- Manage engagement budgets prudently; drive cost-effective programs within approved financial parameters.
- Collaborate with HRBPs across locations to co-create engagement interventions that address specific business unit needs and ensure consistent program delivery.
- Conceptualize, launch, and steward company-wide connect series, thematic campaigns, and culture-building initiatives such as innovation awards, women's forums, and learning-linked engagement programs.
- Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion by designing targeted programs (e.g., women's forums, reverse mentoring, awareness campaigns) that create a psychologically safe and inclusive workplace.
- Drive culture alignment through storytelling, internal communications (HR newsletters, intranet), and leadership-connect platforms.
- Own the design and governance of the Rewards & Recognition program ensuring linkage to organizational values, business excellence, and desired behavioral outcomes.
- Build a recognition culture by enabling peer-to-peer, manager-led, and leadership-driven appreciation mechanisms, badges, milestone recognition, and social recognition walls.
- Lead the deployment, adoption, and continuous optimization of the AI-powered Rewards, Recognition & Engagement platform
- Identify, pilot, and scale AI-powered HR tools across the employee lifecycle including survey platforms, chatbots, volunteering tools, and engagement analytics. Integrate AI intervention into every major engagement campaign.
- Partner with HR Technology teams to leverage data and digital channels for real-time pulse measurement, sentiment analysis, and predictive engagement insights.
- Define, track, and report engagement KPIs including Unique Employee Participation (UEP) rates, campaign adherence, R&R adoption, and engagement scores.
- Design and administer periodic employee surveys and pulse checks present actionable insights to leadership.
Qualification and Experience
Educational Qualifications Required:MBA / PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institute
Relevant Experience
- 10–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Employee Engagement, Culture, or OD leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and executing large-scale, multi-location engagement programs in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered HR platforms (R&R tools, survey platforms, HR chatbots) and digital HR transformation.
- Strong understanding of Diversity & Inclusion best practices; experience launching D&I initiatives at scale.
- Prior experience in a media, FMCG, or large consumer-facing enterprise is an advantage.
