Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer(Lead profile) to join our R&D team focused on designing Smart Energy Meters. You will be responsible for Firmware development of Smart Energy Meters (Power Quality meters and ABT meters).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Embedded Firmware for 3-Phase, 3-Wire/4-Wire Smart Energy Meters on various platforms i.e. Renesas, NXP, Texas Instruments, ARM processors etc.
- Interfacing of different peripheral with main microcontroller/micro-processor.
- Release of firmware to validation department after unit test case validation.
- Code optimization towards performance, size and speed.
- Communication protocol development or indigestion of third party
- Development of PQ meters and ABT meters firmware.
- Knowledge of adjacent technologies like ADC, EEPROM, LCD, UART, SPI etc.
- Knowledge of various sections and components of Smart Energy Meters.
- Sound knowledge of onboard debugging.
- Knowledge of different type of open protocols e.g. I2C, SPI, DLMS, MODBUS.
- Strong Knowledge of Energy metering system
- Understanding of wireless/ cellular modules (LTE, Mesh RF, WI SUN, Bluetooth, NB-IoT).
- Develop test procedures and assist in prototype bring-up, debugging, and validation.
- Collaborate with Validation team and other functions to meet design objectives.
- Document design outputs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
- 10 + years of experience in Embedded FW design for Smart Energy Meters.
- Understanding of Smart Energy Metering & communication standards.
- Ability to deliver robust embedded firmware of high quality.
