We are seeking an experienced Lead Embedded Firmware Architect with a strong background in power electronics applications such as DC-DC converters, solar inverters (single/three-phase), Multi level converters, and Inverters. The candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in developing and optimizing embedded C code for control and communication in real-time systems using DSP controllers.
The role involves designing, implementing, and validating firmware for high-performance power conversion systems, ensuring reliability, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for power electronic products including DC-DC converters, solar inverters (single/three phase), Multi level converters, and Inverters.
- Implement advanced control algorithms including PI,PLL, Clarke and Park transformations, and other DSP-based control techniques.
- Develop and optimize code in Embedded C for real-time microcontrollers/DSPs used in power electronics applications.
- Design and develop firmware architect for bootloaders, interrupts, timers, memory mapping, communication stacks, control algorithms and protections.
- Design and implement communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, MODBUS, and CAN for reliable device interfacing.
- Work closely with hardware and system engineers to validate firmware performance on prototypes and production systems.
- Perform firmware debugging, optimization, and validation to ensure robustness and reliability.
- Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and support certification processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation / Computer Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in embedded firmware development within the power electronics domain.
- Strong expertise in Embedded C programming and real-time control systems.
- Solid understanding of power electronics topologies (DC-DC, Buck, Boost, H-bridge, Converters and Inverters).
- Hands-on experience with control algorithms (PLL, Clarke & Park transformation, ABC–DQ–ABC transformations).
- Proficiency in microcontroller/DSP platforms (TI / STM32) commonly used in power conversion.
- Practical experience with communication protocols: SPI, I²C, MODBUS, CAN.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of complete software development cycle.
- Experience on version control tools like Git, SVN etc.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Familiarity with RTOS and multitasking firmware design.
- Exposure to secure firmware development,safety standards and compliance in power electronics (e.g., IEC/UL, MISRA).
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in firmware design.
