About Tekodyne:
Tekodyne is a robotics innovation company based in Hyderabad. We operate at the intersection of high-end automation consulting and proprietary product development. We are currently building a suite of smart electrical and pneumatic grippers for industries ranging from F&B to heavy welding, alongside a unified software platform that integrates distinct hardware ecosystems into a single unit.
Job Description:
We are looking for aLead Electrical Engineerto join us as a key member of our technical team. As the first full-time Electrical Engineer at Tekodyne, you will not just execute tasksyou will define our electrical DNA. You will have full autonomy to architect the electrical systems for our proprietary grippers, lead complex client automation projects, and bridge the gap between our hardware and software teams.
Role:
Electrical / Electronics Engineer
Experience:
5+ years in Electrical / Embedded / Automation
Prior experience in working in a Robotics startup or system integrator
Qualification:
B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical / Electronics or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product R&D (Smart Grippers & Hardware):
- PCB Design & Miniaturization:Lead the schematic capture and layout of compact, multi-layer PCBs for our grippers, optimizing for tight spaces and thermal efficiency.
- Motor Control:Design and tune driver circuits for BLDC, Stepper, and Servo motors to ensure precise torque and speed control for delicate material handling.
- Embedded Integration:Select microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, etc.) and write the low-level firmware (C/C++) needed to expose hardware APIs to our software platform.
2 . Automation Consulting (Client Projects):
- Industrial Control Panels:Design electrical schematics and control panel layouts (wiring, DIN rails, safety relays) for client automation cells using standard CAD tools (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Robot Interfacing:Interface custom hardware with industrial robot arms (Universal Robots, Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa) and PLCs.
- Safety & Compliance:Ensure designs meet industrial safety standards (ISO 13849, machine safety directives) and lead the component selection process.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Protocol Implementation:Implement industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/RTU, CANopen) to ensure our hardware talks seamlessly to the Tekodyne software platform.
- Vendor Management:Manage relationships with component suppliers and PCB manufacturers in Hyderabad and abroad to ensure quality and timely delivery.
What We Are Looking For:
- The Generalist Mindset:You are comfortable designing a delicate PCB for a gripper one day and wiring a 440V industrial control cabinet the next.

- Ownership:You thrive in a startup environment where you build processes from scratch rather than just following existing ones.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience specifically with robotic end-effectors, grippers, or EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling).
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems (solenoids, valve banks).
- Prior experience working in a robotics startup or system integrator.
Why to Join Tekodyne
- Build the Future:Move beyond simple maintenance; design products that will be used in factories globally.
- Core Team Role:As the lead EE, your decisions will shape the future engineering culture of the company.
- Hybrid Exposure:Gain rare exposure to both product R&D (creating new tech) and Consulting (solving immediate real-world problems).
