Lead Electrical Engineer

Your Role
As an Lead Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of electrical systems for HVAC products. You will be responsible for new product development, component engineering, value engineering initiatives, and ensuring compliance with international regulatory standards.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including lowvoltage electrical control panels and cable/wiring harnesses.
- Perform electrical component sizing, selection, and qualification as per UL, IEC, and countryspecific regulatory standards.
- Conduct tradeoff analysis on circuits and components for optimal performance, cost, quality, and design flexibility.
- Foster an environment promoting innovation, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with structural, electronics, software, lab, and reliability teams to define functional, reliability, and qualification requirements.
- Work closely with the supply chain to source, evaluate, and qualify electrical components and assemblies.
Your Profile
- Strong experience in product development and electrical systems engineering, aligned with MRD, PRD, and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in electrical components, including:
- Switchgear & control components, primary/secondary protection devices, safety devices, transformers, relays, connectors, power supplies, sensors, transducers, and switches.
- Lowvoltage motors (AC induction, Brush DC, BLDC, Stepper, Servo, Permanent Magnet).
- Application development for LV Motor Starters and Controllers (Star/Delta, Soft Starters, VFDs, etc.).
- Proficient in lowvoltage control panel design.
- Strong expertise in productlevel electrical system design, wiring, and harness design.
- Experience performing functional and reliability testing of electrical components.
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with a drive for innovation and quality.
