We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to work with engineering teams to design technical solutions for a variety of industrial and commercial facilities. You will be responsible for designing power distribution and lighting systems, performing complex calculations, and preparing design criteria and specifications for electrical equipment. This role requires extensive experience in electrical design, hands-on experience with technical drawings, and strong communication skills to interact with clients and project managers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design power distribution and lighting systems for manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial and commercial facilities.
- Perform power distribution and calculations including switchboards, panel boards, transformers, wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, cable tray sizing, and AIC calculations.
- Prepare design criteria, one-line diagrams, and specifications for electrical equipment.
- Select and size UPS for SCADA systems and three-phase inverters.
- Perform lightning and insulation coordination studies.
- Design wiring and conduit drawings using AutoCAD.
- Help resolve EE-oriented Change Request Notices and Requests for Information.
- Assist in developing construction drawings and review work packages.
- Prepare grounding and bonding plans for new equipment.
- Maintain NAMS and cable raceway programs.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, installation, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Write regular progress reports and present them to project managers and clients.
- Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in 277/480V building services.
- Expertise in power distribution and calculations including switchboards, panel boards, transformers, wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, and AIC calculations.
- Experience with Motor Control Center specification, including VFDs and starters.
- Skills in interior and exterior lighting design using Visual lighting.
- Knowledge of MV, LV, and fiber optics cable sizing and routing.
- Ability to perform lightning and insulation coordination studies.
- Hands-on experience in the preparation of single-line diagrams and panel drawings, and schematics based on technical specifications.
- Ability to perform electrical studies for Voltage drop, Load Flow, Short circuit, Motor starting, Protective device coordination, and Arc flash analysis using SKM / Easypower software.
- Knowledge of UL508A, IEC, NEMA, and other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Electrical, SKM, Easypower, Visual Lighting, and REVIT.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong general computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical or Semiconductor Facilities Engineering is highly desired.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
