Lead Electrical Design Controls

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Design Controls professional to conceptualize and lead the development of electrical architectures and control systems. This role involves planning and monitoring a design team, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the accurate design and documentation of systems from concept to implementation.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conceptualize electrical architectures.
• Plan and monitor the work of the group and resolve all technical and non-technical issues.
• Prepare electrical architecture according to customer standards.
• Prepare electrical drawings for the systems.
• Perform system hardware design, including control panel design.
• Conduct component selection for PLC, VFD, servo drives, sensors, switchgears, and relays.
• Perform calculations for the electrical system.
• Prepare a Bill of Material (BOM).
• Prepare a high-level flowchart for the software architecture.
• Prepare a sequence of operation for systems as conceptualized.
• Test a designed system on the shop floor if required.

Skills Required

• Expertise in electrical architecture and controls design.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components such as PLCs, VFDs, and servo drives.
• Experience in system hardware design and control panel design.
• Proficiency in electrical calculations and BOM preparation.
• Ability to conceptualize and document system operation (flowcharts, sequence of operation).
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills to manage a design group.
• Hands-on experience with design testing and validation.
