Job Description: Lead Digitalization Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

Period: 6 Months

Mode - Contract & Extendable

Role Overview:

The Lead Digitalization Engineer is responsible for carrying out concept study for implementation of Digitalization in New Artificial Intelligence Command Centre

The role involves designing and leading the implementation of scalable, highly available, and resilient services to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, gathering requirements, creating architectural designs, and providing expert guidance.

The position requires strong technical expertise in digitalization solutions, IT/OT integration knowledge, project leadership, and a deep understanding of industrial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop data integration architecture, data flow diagrams according to the processes

Develop Solution & application architecture, Infrastructure architecture, Network architecture, Security architecture.

Develop Digital Design Philosophy for AI-Hub (Data platform/governance)

Develop Digital & AI Technology Assessment Report for AI enabled operator, Smart Alarm, Automatic log book, automatic reporting, incident reporting and regen AI.

Evaluate existing digital solutions implemented in COMPANY and integration with New Facility

Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning leveraged use cases/applications and integration of relevant digital solutions.

Design of digital twins solutions / use cases not limited to the following.

Digital Twins solutions/ use cases not limited to the following,

Predictive Maintenance

Plant/Facilities Digital Twin (Visualization)

Process Digital Twin

Engineering & Projects

Cost/Operational efficiency

Efficient and safe operations

Asset optimization:

Safety and emergency preparedness:

Drilling operations optimization

Reservoir management:

Supply chain optimization:

New system design and testing:

Training and skill development:

Specify Digitalization and AI concepts for

smart grid technologies to support AI-driven energy management

AI-driven HVAC systems for optimal energy efficiency and climate control

Leveraging AI for enhanced safety monitoring and risk assessment

Implement autonomous safety systems for real-time hazard detection and response

Detecting hazards in real time, give alerts, predict future abnormalities based on history and real time condition change

advanced electrical monitoring systems capable of prescriptive maintenance through AI.

AI algorithms for process optimization and anomaly detection

advanced data analytics tools for real-time monitoring and decision support specific to the AI-CC

Identify and select appropriate digital and AI technologies for implementation

Technology Integration & Industry 4.0, Evaluate and implement advanced technologies (IoT, SCADA, MES, AI, digital twins).

Promote end-to-end digital integration of engineering systems.

Coordination with Instrumentation & Control, OT Cybersecurity, Telecom disciplines.

Assist in identifying the use cases and carrying out cost benefit analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum 12 years of experience in digitalization, AI integration, or smart plant technologies within oil & gas or industrial sectors.

Proven experience in Concept development.

  • Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0, industrial automation, edge computing, OT /IT cybersecurity, and AI platforms.
