Lead - Digital Technology
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead - Digital Technology to join our technology team as an end-to-end owner driving digital innovations and strategic technology projects. This role requires a seasoned professional who can bridge business strategy with technical execution while leading cross-functional initiatives that drive organizational growth and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Drive end-to-end ownership of digital technology initiatives from conception to implementation
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and digital trends to drive innovation within the organization
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital transformation strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead research and development of new digital solutions and platforms
Project Management & Execution
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder technology projects with full accountability for delivery
- Define project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and success metrics
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and developers
- Architect scalable and robust digital solutions that meet current and future business needs
- Evaluate and recommend technology stack, tools, and platforms for various initiatives
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, security, and data management
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business strategy
- Present project updates, technical recommendations, and strategic insights to executive stakeholders
- Partner with business units to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Manage vendor relationships and external technology partnerships
Team Development & Culture
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team
- Participate in hiring and building high-performing technology teams
- Establish processes and frameworks that enhance team productivity and project delivery
Required Qualifications
Education
- MBA from a recognized business school (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field
Experience
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in digital technology, software development, or related fields
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale technology projects
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives and emerging technology implementation
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, and digital platforms
- Understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and system integration
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in the lending industry (banks, NBFCs, fintech lenders, or financial services)
- Lending Technology Knowledge: Understanding of lending lifecycle, credit assessment systems, loan origination systems (LOS), loan management systems (LMS), and regulatory compliance requirements
- Financial Technology Expertise: Experience with payment gateways, digital KYC, risk management systems, and banking APIs
- Salesforce Experience: Hands-on experience with Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom application development
- Experience with fintech-specific technologies and regulatory frameworks
- Track record of building and scaling technology teams in financial services
