Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Django Developer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, Django, RESTful APIs, and AWS cloud services, and will play a key role in designing, developing, and architecting enterprise-grade solutions. Experience with GraphQL will be considered a strong added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Python and Django
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications
- Build scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions on AWS
- Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, CI/CD processes, and agile methodologies
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and deliver long-term solutions
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall experience in backend development
- Strong expertise in Python and Django Framework
- Extensive experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, such as:
- EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda
- API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM
- Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM concepts
- Solid understanding of Linux, version control (Git), and modern development workflows
- Experience with application security, performance tuning, and scalability
Added Advantage (Good to Have)
- Experience in GraphQL (schema design, resolvers, integrations)
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Knowledge of frontend integration (React, Angular, or Vue) is a plus
