S&P Global Mobility

The Team

The Procurement IQ team is building AI-powered supply chain intelligence solutions within S&P Global Mobility's Supply Chain and Technology organization. You'll join a collaborative, innovation-driven environment that values technical excellence, continuous learning, and cross-functional partnership. Working in a globally distributed team, you will partner with data scientists, product managers, and domain experts to deliver solutions that transform how automotive OEMs understand and manage their supply chains. The team embraces modern DevOps practices, cloud-native architectures, and a culture of ownership, empowering engineers to influence both technical direction and product decisions.

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure on a major cloud provider, using infrastructure-as-code principles and aligning with enterprise standards for security, networking, and approved service selection.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using CI/CD platforms, containerization technologies, and automated deployment strategies to enable fast, reliable, zero-downtime releases across development, staging, and production.
  • Lead implementation of monitoring and observability capabilities using metrics, logging, and distributed tracing platforms to ensure platform health, performance, and proactive incident detection.
  • Drive operational excellence by establishing SRE-style practices, creating runbooks and playbooks, implementing auto-scaling strategies, and ensuring the platform meets 99.5% uptime SLA targets.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams on DevOps best practices, cloud-native architecture patterns, containerization strategies, and security/compliance requirements-fostering continuous improvement and ownership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI/ML engineers, data engineers, security, and product partners to ensure infrastructure integrates seamlessly with application needs and business objectives.

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering).
  • 9+ years of hands-on experience with a major cloud provider's services, including managed container compute, serverless compute, object storage, managed relational databases, graph database services, virtual networking, and identity/access management, with a proven ability to architect and deploy production-grade infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure automation tools (infrastructure-as-code), including module development, state management, and GitOps-style workflows for deployment and version control.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline engineering using CI/CD platforms, plus experience with containerization technologies and container orchestration platforms.
  • Solid programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, shell scripting, or similar) to automate infrastructure tasks, build internal tooling, and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including encryption in transit/at rest, identity and access controls, network segmentation, secrets management platforms, and compliance with enterprise security standards.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with graph database technologies, including graph data modeling, query optimization, and operating relationship-centric data at scale.
  • Hands-on experience implementing observability and monitoring platforms, including centralized logging, metrics dashboards, alerting, and distributed tracing for microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and LLM deployment, including experience with managed foundation-model/LLM platforms and practical understanding of MLOps practices for deployment and monitoring.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively across global teams, mentor junior engineers, produce clear technical documentation, and translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
