Overview
The Lead DevOps Engineer will own the end‑to‑end DevOps and CI/CD strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient build‑to‑deploy pipelines across multi‑cloud environments. This role requires strong technical leadership, architectural understanding, and the ability to guide teams in modern DevOps practices while co‑existing with legacy systems.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern branching strategies across teams
- Own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, including:
- Build and container image creation
- Artifact versioning and uploads to Artifactory
- Multi‑landscape deployments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod)
- Design deployment strategies that enable legacy system coexistence
- Lead Kubernetes orchestration using Helm Charts
- Architect and maintain multi‑cloud deployments across:
- Establish DevOps security best practices:
- Secure pipelines
- Access control
- Compliance with enterprise and industry standards
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and enable DevOps best practices across squads
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and security teams
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Jenkins (preferred), GitLab, and Git hooks
- Advanced hands‑on expertise with:
- Proven experience handling:
- CI/CD pipeline orchestration
- Image builds and artifact management
- Multi‑cloud experience (mandatory at lead level)
- Strong scripting and automation mindset
- Deep knowledge of DevOps security standards
