Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive
DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive the automation, deployment, and management of cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and GitOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible.
- Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system tasks.
- Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement GitOps workflows using Flux CD for continuous delivery.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline release processes.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline creation.
- Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Solid scripting skills in Bash.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container lifecycle management.
- Expertise in Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling.
- Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools, especially Flux CD.
- Good understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104,CKA).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Exposure to other IaC tools like Ansible is a must
Task Needs To Be Executed
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines
Automate image creation and deployment for edge devices
Integrate rollback, redeployment, and approval processes
Create and refactor Ansible roles for OS setup, Azure prerequisites, K3s setup, and AIO onboarding
Align roles with Chevron naming conventions and standards
Define GitOps workflows for configuration management
Organize repo structure for role integration
Enable artifact signing and SBOM generation
Configure Azure CLI, PAT tokens, and extensions
Connect edge devices to Azure Arc
Enable Azure IoT Operations (AIO) and apply policy extensions
Apply CIS hardening to OS and K3s
Manage secrets via Azure Key Vault
Define RBAC and Conditional Access policies
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
