Role Overview
A experienced Workato Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable integrations and automation solutions across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in iPaaS platforms (especially Workato), excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills in English to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Workato recipes for system integrations and business process automation
- Integrate cloud and on-premise applications (CRM, ERP, HRMS, databases, APIs, etc.)
- Build reusable connectors and leverage REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and SDKs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations for performance and reliability
- Implement error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across integrations
- Maintain proper documentation of workflows, processes, and technical designs
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for scalable integration architecture
- Support production deployments and provide ongoing maintenance
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6 -9 years of experience in integration development / middleware / iPaaS platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with Workato (recipes, triggers, actions, custom connectors)
- Proficiency in API integration (REST/SOAP), JSON, XML
- Experience with enterprise systems - Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, etc.
- Knowledge of data transformation, mapping, and ETL concepts
- Familiarity with authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, Basic Auth)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience with version control and deployment practices
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
