Lead Designer - BIM, Water, REC

Job description

• Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
• You will work on detailed drawings for a range of projects to create 2D drawing, 3D models and support other members of the drafting team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• You will support in the creation of a BIM execution plan or CAD standard manual for the project.
• You will need to coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for drafting work in a given project.
• Mentor fellow CAD technicians on advancement in BIM authoring software and CAD standards.
• Support Team Leader on standardization of CAD/BIM standards and nurture an environment of automation and development within the team.
• Support in training/knowledge sharing with the team and cross-teams within the Water Department.
• Is responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings and documents.
• Follow CAD/BIM standards of respective countries/projects and update them on a regular basis as per the experience of the project.
• Exercise self-discipline and work ethics.

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
• Experience in preparation of general arrangement drawings, plans, profiles, and layouts, setting out drawings of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater drainage network, and creating 3D models of pipe network/underground utilities is required.
• Self-motivated, team player, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet deadlines, committed to both their work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
