The Impact you will have in this role:

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.

Experience in Performing database migrationsfrom onpremises Oracle platforms toAWS RDS, ensuring performance, resiliency, and compliance postmigration. Develop, review, and optimize database codeincluding PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, materialized views, and complex SQL. Design and support disaster recovery solutionsusing RDS automated backups, snapshots, MultiAZ, and crossregion strategies.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and implement Oracle databases on AWS RDSto ensure data integrity, security, and nearcontinuous availability for critical financial applications
  • Perform database migrationsfrom onpremises Oracle platforms toAWS RDS, ensuring performance, resiliency, and compliance postmigration
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performanceusing AWR/ASH, RDS Performance Insights, CloudWatch, and OEM to meet Tier0/Tier1 SLAs
  • Supporting applications usingData guard,RAC,andGoldengatemicroservices.
  • Develop, review, and optimize database codeincluding PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, materialized views, and complex SQL
  • Implement and maintain database security controls, including encryption (TDE), data masking, redaction, finegrained auditing, and access governance
  • Design and support disaster recovery solutionsusing RDS automated backups, snapshots, MultiAZ, and crossregion strategies
  • Participate inproduction support, oncall rotations, and incident escalationsto meet enterprise SLAs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum8 years of experiencein Oracle Database Engineering or Administration
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication for issue reporting

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Handson experience withOracle RDS on AWSand AWS services (CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, VPC, S3)
  • Strong knowledge ofPL/SQL coding standards, performance tuning, and database internals
  • Experience withOEM, Grafana, Goldengateand related database tooling
  • Familiarity withAgile development methodologiesand DevOps collaboration models
  • Experience withCI/CD pipelinesusing Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Jira
  • Proficiency inscripting and automation(Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Solid understanding ofdata modeling, schema design, and performancedriven architecture
  • Strong object-oriented programming expertise, with hands-on experience in Python or Java implementations
  • OracleZDLRAknowledge is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Build collaborative teams across the organization.
  • Communicates openly keeping everyone across the organization informed.
