Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Database Developer with 710 years of hands-on experience in database development and architecture, along with
34 years of team leadership experience . The ideal candidate will have exceptional expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL, and a proven track record of leading database teams in high-performance environments.
Candidates from top-tier universities or reputed product-based / high-growth organizations
will be preferred.
This role requires strong analytical skills, deep database knowledge, and the ability to manage large-scale data systems while ensuring performance, scalability, availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust PostgreSQL database
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, functions, and stored
- Design database schemas, indexing strategies, and scalable data
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity
- Monitor server resource usage and optimize database systems
- Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of database
- Develop scripts and procedures for data migration and ETL
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions
- Lead and mentor a team of database developers, ensuring best practices and quality
- Manage task allocation, code reviews, and team
- Maintain proper documentation for database architecture and
- Support and manage large-scale, high-volume data
Required Skills Qualifications
- 7 10 years of hands-on experience as a Database
Minimum 3 4 years of experience in team leadership or mentoring roles.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL (mandatory).
- Advanced expertise in SQL query writing and
- Strong experience in performance tuning and indexing
- Experience handling large datasets and high-transaction
- Strong understanding of database security and backup/recovery
- Experience in database testing and deployment
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra) is a
- Proven experience working with or graduating from top-tier universities or reputed organizations .
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple
Educational Qualification
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a
reputed / top-tier institution .
