Job Title: Lead Data Modeller (Treasury Technologies)

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

  • As a Lead Data Modeller (Vice President / Director) within Treasury Technologies, you will be responsible for shaping and governing the data foundations that support the Bank's liquidity management, funding, balance sheet, and regulatory reporting capabilities.
  • You will act as a senior data authority within the Treasury domain, translating complex business and regulatory requirements into robust, wellgoverned conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to Deutsche Bank's enterprise data architecture and standards.
  • This role requires strong knowledge of banking products, deep expertise in data modelling standards, and handson Oracle data modelling experience. Knowledge of liquidity metrics and treasury risk concepts is highly desirable. You will operate in a highcontrol, highly regulated environment, partnering closely with Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities


  • Provide senior leadership and direction for data modelling across Treasury Technology platforms
  • Own and evolve enterprisealigned data models supporting liquidity, funding, balance sheet, and regulatory use cases
  • Partner with Treasury, Risk, and Finance stakeholders to understand business processes, products, and data usage
  • Design and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models in line with Deutsche Bank standards
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve data modelling standards, conventions, and governance controls
  • Lead Oraclecentric data modelling, including schema design, normalization, performance, and impact analysis
  • Ensure data models support lineage, traceability, auditability, and data quality controls
  • Review and challenge data designs to ensure consistency, scalability, reusability, and regulatory readiness
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, and data engineers to ensure endtoend alignment
  • Support change impact assessments for regulatory, treasury, and technology initiatives
  • Drive rootcause analysis of complex data quality and integrity issues
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to data modellers and delivery teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes within an Agile and controlled change environment

Essential


Your Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Senior / Lead Data Modeller in financial services or banking
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and data, including balances, cashflows, positions, and reference data
  • Deep expertise in data modelling methodologies and standards (conceptual, logical, physical modelling)
  • Expert Oracle database knowledge (essential), including schema design and advanced SQL
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, security, risk, and control frameworks
  • Proven experience working in regulatorydriven, auditintensive environments
  • Ability to work effectively across business, risk, and technology teams
  • Strong stakeholdermanagement and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring and setting technical direction

Desirable


  • Knowledge of Treasury and liquidity concepts, including liquidity metrics and regulatory measures
  • Experience supporting liquidity, funding, or balancesheetrelated platforms
  • Familiarity with data lineage, metadata management, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience working within Agile delivery models
  • Python for data analysis or automation

  • Enterprise data modelling tools (e.g. Power Designer, ERwin, or equivalent)
  • Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities
  • Data lineage and metadata concepts
  • Database Object modelling (Physical data models from Logical data models)
