About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Modeler to join our MDM Hub Implementation program. In this role, you will design and govern the master data models that underpin the MDM platform — spanning Customer, Supplier, Product, and related reference data domains. You will work at the intersection of source system analysis, platform configuration, and data governance, translating business requirements into robust, platform-ready data models within Reltio or Informatica MDM. The primary source systems in scope are Oracle ERP and Salesforce CRM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and own conceptual, logical, and physical data models for all MDM domains in scope — Customer, Supplier, Product, and related reference data — aligned to business requirements and MDM platform capabilities.
- Translate business entity definitions, attributes, and relationships into MDM hub configurations within Reltio or Informatica MDM, including entity types, attribute groups, lookup tables, and relationship models.
- Analyze and profile source system data from Oracle ERP and Salesforce to understand existing data structures, identify data quality issues, and define canonical models for ingestion into the MDM hub.
- Collaborate with the MDM Program Architect to ensure data models are consistent with the enterprise architecture blueprint, hub strategy, and domain-level golden record design.
- Partner with integration engineers and ETL developers to ensure source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data lineage are accurately reflected in and supported by the data models.
- Define and document data standards, naming conventions, attribute definitions, and domain value lists for master data entities, contributing to the enterprise data dictionary and business glossary.
- Support the definition of match-merge rules, survivorship logic, and duplicate resolution strategies by providing model-level input on key attributes and identifiers across source systems.
- Work closely with data quality analysts and stewards to embed data quality rules within the data model — ensuring models support profiling, validation, and remediation workflows within the DQ/MDM platform.
- Maintain and version-control data model artifacts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability from business requirements through to platform configuration.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and technical walk-throughs — clearly communicating model decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years in data management, data architecture, or data engineering, with at least 3 years in a dedicated data modelling role on enterprise MDM or ERP/CRM programs.
- Hands-on experience building conceptual, logical, and physical data models for master data domains such as Customer, Product, Supplier, or Location.
- Proven experience working on MDM hub implementations using Reltio or Informatica MDM, including entity configuration, attribute mapping, and domain model design.
- Strong understanding of MDM concepts: golden record design, match-merge rules, survivorship logic, hierarchy management, and entity resolution.
- Experience modelling data from Oracle ERP (e.g., Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion) and Salesforce CRM — understanding source schemas, canonical data structures, and transformation logic.
- Proficiency with data modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with data quality rules and profiling as inputs to model design — ensuring models support DQ enforcement within the MDM platform.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns (REST APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, event-driven architectures) as they relate to data flow in and out of the MDM hub.
