Data Governance Team Lead – 6+ Years – Pan India

Summary –

An exciting opportunity for data governance professionals to lead enterprise-scale data governance initiatives for a global analytics-driven organization. You will be responsible for defining governance frameworks, improving data quality, and driving data-driven decision-making across business functions. This role offers a strong blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on data governance execution.

Responsibilities –

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead the Data & Analytics Governance team and manage day-to-day activities.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop data governance analysts.
• Allocate workload, track team performance, and identify development opportunities.
• Provide regular updates on team progress and governance initiatives to stakeholders.

Data Governance & Strategy

• Define and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Drive metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage initiatives.
• Identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and implement data quality frameworks.
• Analyze and resolve data quality issues and exceptions.
• Promote data governance adoption through change management and training programs.

Requirements –

• 6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related domains.
• Proven experience in leading governance initiatives in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with governance tools (e.g., Collibra or similar) and data quality tools (e.g., iceDQ or similar).
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or asset management domain is a plus.
