Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable Snowflake-based backend solutions to support multi-system integration.
- Lead data modeling initiatives (enterprise data models, canonical structures, dimensional modeling).
- Define standards and frameworks for SQL coding, naming conventions, schema designs, performance tuning, and security roles.
- Oversee creation of reusable semantic data layers, governed datasets, and standardized reporting views.
- Review development artifacts, provide mentorship, and ensure best practices in engineering execution.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data strategies and integration patterns.
- Ensure efficient data ingestion and transformation architecture with focus on cost optimization, performance, and governance.
- Troubleshoot complex data integration issues and ensure high availability of backend pipelines.
Required Skills
- 610 years of experience in backend engineering, data warehousing, or cloud data platforms.
- Expert-level SQL and experience writing reusable, scalable data transformation logic.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling (3NF, Star/Snowflake Schema), governance, metadata management, and documentation.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT patterns and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience integrating multiple source systems, API feeds, and structured/unstructured data.
- Working knowledge of Python
- Good to have background working on financial ERP system
