Role - Data Engineering Lead

Location- India - Remote

Duration - 6 Months contract with possible extension

Role Overview -

We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Lead with strong Snowflake and dbt expertise to own end-to-end data model changes supporting self-service dashboards. The role covers requirement analysis, development, testing, validation, and production deployment.

The focus is on self-service dashboards outside the global reports currently being remediated.

Key Responsibilities

• Own data model changes in Snowflake and dbt from requirements through production.
• Develop and modify dbt models, SQL transformations, and Snowflake structures.
• Analyze existing models, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, unit/regression testing, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy changes across environments using CI/CD and release processes.
• Validate data against business and dashboard requirements.
• Support production issues and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with BI/Analytics, business stakeholders, and data engineering teams.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Snowflake and dbt experience.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations and optimization.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling.
• Experience taking changes through development, testing, validation, and deployment.
• Experience with data quality, reconciliation, and dependency analysis.
• Experience with Git/CI/CD.
• Experience supporting self-service BI/reporting dashboards.
• Strong ownership and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred

Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI experience.

dbt testing/documentation experience.

Snowflake performance optimization. Agile data engineering/reporting remediation experience.
