This is a senior hands-on engineering role focused on designing and delivering scalable, production-grade data solutions across modern cloud ecosystems. You will work at the intersection of architecture, data engineering, and client delivery, building robust pipelines and end-to-end data platforms that power analytics and AI use cases for global enterprise customers. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and clients to translate complex requirements into reliable, scalable, and secure data systems. You will operate in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment leveraging leading technologies across Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, and modern data integration tools. Beyond execution, you will also play a key leadership role, mentoring engineers and guiding technical direction. This position offers strong autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to influence enterprise-scale data transformations.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end data engineering solutions across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines ensuring performance, reliability, security, and efficient data integration across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into technical architectures and implementation roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, design, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation including solution designs, POCs, architecture diagrams, and system workflows.
- Ensure full lifecycle ownership of data solutions, from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Work with modern data platforms and tools to enable automated data transformation, orchestration, and real-time or batch processing workflows.
Requirements
- 8 plus years of hands-on experience in data engineering, designing and implementing scalable data solutions in production environments.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams in complex technical projects.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala with the ability to build robust data applications and pipelines.
- Deep expertise in SQL, including query optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks.
- Hands-on knowledge of data integration and processing tools such as Spark, Kafka, dbt, Airflow, and similar technologies.
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Strong client-facing communication skills with experience delivering presentations and technical documentation to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Exposure to distributed storage systems, data lakes, and modern data architectures is highly preferred.
