Job Description
As a Lead Data Engineer at Dyson, you will provide hands-on technical expertise in the Data domain, working with a diverse set of Data technologies. You will show adaptability to changing requirements and technologies, supporting the team in staying current with new developments. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, helping prioritize projects, and contributing to the development of reliable data products that follow industry best practices.
You will work as part of a team of data engineers—including internal staff and external partners—contributing to the delivery of solutions for the Data and Analytics group. Your main responsibilities include designing and building robust data solutions for analytics, participating in technical design reviews, and sharing constructive feedback. You will help establish good practices and efficient workflows within a global data engineering environment, while supporting a culture that values clear documentation. Additionally, you will assist in enhancing data quality and reliability and support improvements in data lineage and governance.

Technical Proficiencies
You bring over five years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with a proven ability to contribute across all stages of project delivery. You are skilled in designing and optimising data pipelines and analytics solutions, and have hands-on expertise in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and DBT. Your experience spans at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, and you are familiar with CI/CD and DataOps practices. You actively participate in technical design reviews, offering constructive feedback to drive robust and reliable data solutions.
