Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer / Azure Tech Lead who will drive end-to-end data architecture, client engagement, and delivery leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical depth, solution design, and team/project ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own data architecture and solution design on Azure
• Lead end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects
• Act as primary technical point of contact for clients/stakeholders
• Drive requirement gathering, solutioning, and technical discussions
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers (5–15 members)
• Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and scalability
• Design and implement lakehouse, real-time, and batch pipelines
• Own project delivery, timelines, and quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, business, DevOps)
• Drive innovation and adoption of modern data technologies

Required Experience (10–15 Years)

• 10+ years in data engineering, data platforms, or data architecture
• 10+ years deep experience in Azure ecosystem

Proven experience in: 

• Data architecture and solution design
• Leading large-scale data projects
• Client interaction and stakeholder management

Strong hands-on expertise in: 

• ADF, ADLS, Synapse
• Azure Databricks (mandatory)
• Experience leading teams and managing project deliveries
• Exposure to global/enterprise data programs

Mandatory Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) 
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Databricks Professional Certification (Data Engineer or Architect track)
