Job Description Lead Data Analyst (Benow Entity)

Role Purpose

As a Lead Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, tracking, and optimizing the performance of various sales channels, ensuring maximum efficiency and GMV growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Strategy, to provide data-driven insights that enhance merchant acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities we entrust you with

Sales Efficiency & GMV Optimization

  • Analyze the performance of different sales channels (Direct Sales, Partner Sales, Online Acquisition, Telesales, etc.) to measure their impact on GMV growth.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast merchant acquisition trends and optimize sales efforts accordingly.
  • Track conversion rates, sales cycle efficiency, and merchant lifetime value (LTV) across different sales engagement models.
  • Identify high-value merchant segments and recommend tailored strategies to improve activation and transaction volume.

Data-Driven Strategy & Reporting

  • Build interactive dashboards and automated reports to track sales performance, revenue trends, and merchant activity using SQL, Python, and BI tools (QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Define and track KPIs for sales efficiency, GMV per merchant, and acquisition cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct A/B testing and sales funnel analysis to enhance engagement strategies for merchants.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI on merchant engagement initiatives.

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Develop ETL pipelines to process large volumes of transactional and merchant sales data.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the sales process through data-driven automation and insights.
  • Provide AI/ML-driven recommendations for optimizing lead scoring, churn prediction, and GMV uplift strategies.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead a small team of analysts to deliver actionable insights for sales efficiency.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Growth teams to ensure data-driven decision-making at all levels.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing business strategies with data insights.

What Matters In This Role

Relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in FinTech, Payments, or SaaS industries.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
  • Experience in sales analytics, funnel optimization, and revenue forecasting.
  • Understanding of merchant behavior, payment transaction flows, and GMV drivers.
  • Expertise in predictive modeling, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL, data engineering, and large-scale data processing.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting insights to C-level executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-growth FinTech or Payment Solution environment.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven analytics for customer segmentation and churn prediction.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales automation platforms.
