Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst who excels at turning data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. This role is primarily focused on analytics, visualization, stakeholder collaboration, and storytelling, rather than heavy data engineering.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Tableau, along with the ability to understand business problems deeply and translate them into actionable insights. This person will also lead and mentor junior analysts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis & Insights (Core Focus)
- Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and performance gaps
- Translate business questions into structured analysis and actionable insights
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, and operations
- Present insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership
2. Dashboarding & Visualization
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and Tableau
- Design user-friendly, business-focused visualizations
- Ensure dashboards reflect accurate KPIs and business logic
- Continuously improve reports based on stakeholder feedback
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and pain points
- Act as a consultative partner to stakeholders, not just a report builder
- Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis and decision-making inputs
4. SQL & Data Handling
- Use SQL to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources
- Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency in reporting
- Work with available datasets
5. Documentation & Standardization
- Document dashboards, metrics definitions, and business logic clearly
- Standardize KPIs and reporting formats across teams
- Maintain a single source of truth for key business metrics
6. Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor interns and junior analysts in analytics, SQL, and visualization tools
- Review dashboards and analyses to ensure quality and clarity
- Drive best practices in data storytelling and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL (data extraction, joins, aggregations)
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Power BI (DAX, dashboard design, data modeling basics)
- Tableau (dashboarding, calculated fields, storytelling)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to understand business processes and KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business/data analytics / BI roles
- Exposure to data modeling concepts (not mandatory)
- Experience in Healthcare / RCM domain (plus)
