Lead - Customs & Import

About the Role

Heads all import clearances and regulatory / taxation support from supply chain. Heads compliances framework for materials management. Works with business teams at center and circles as the subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own entire EXIM process and support as an SME to circles for CHA operations

2. Agency Evaluation & SOPs, processes for customs clearances & digitisation initiatives, goveranances

3. Customs filings, accountable for correctness of BOE

4. CTH classifications for new items, maintain CTH list, work along with external consultants, taxation, partners

5. Response to notices, hearings and supporting representations

6. Tracking provisional assessments to closure

7. On time delivery of shipments from port to warehouses, support in expediting shipments

8. WPC filings, TEC, NSDTS support and tracking

9. EPR, ESG compliances

Experience & Skills

1. 4+ years of experience

2. Experience of running operations of imports, regulatory clearances with deep subject matter expertise in this area. Experience in Telecom will be preferred.

3. Experience of regulatory, statutory compliances

4. Exposure to ERP / Global Trade compliance and Trade management tools will be preferred

5. People management experience
