Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and target-oriented Lead Counsellor – Study Abroad to join our team in Kozhikode, Kerala. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseas education counselling, student recruitment, lead management, and education sales. The candidate will be responsible for guiding students through international education opportunities, managing the admission process, converting enquiries into enrolments, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Handle and follow up with student enquiries and leads through calls, WhatsApp, email, and walk-ins.
Counsel students on study-abroad opportunities, including courses, universities, countries, eligibility criteria, and admission requirements.
Understand students academic backgrounds, career goals, and budgets to recommend suitable study options.
Explain application procedures, tuition fees, scholarships, visa requirements, and other relevant details.
Manage student applications, documentation, university submissions, and admission follow-ups.
Maintain regular communication with prospective students and parents throughout the counselling and admission process.
Convert qualified leads into successful student enrolments and achieve monthly sales and conversion targets.
Maintain accurate lead records, follow-up schedules, and application updates in the CRM or other tracking systems.
Coordinate with university representatives, internal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth application processing.
Build strong relationships with students and parents to enhance student satisfaction and referral opportunities.
Prepare regular reports on lead status, conversions, applications, and sales performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or MBA in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field.
3–4 years of experience in study-abroad counselling, overseas education, student recruitment, or education sales.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and student counselling skills.
Proven ability to manage leads, follow up effectively, and convert enquiries into admissions.
Good understanding of international education pathways, university applications, and admission procedures.
Strong sales orientation with the ability to meet monthly targets.
Excellent organisational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer proficiency and experience using CRM tools or lead management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a target-driven environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in an overseas education consultancy or study-abroad organisation.
Familiarity with popular study destinations such as the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, the USA, and Europe.
A proactive, persuasive, and student-focused approach to counselling and sales.
Ability to manage multiple student applications and follow-ups simultaneously.
