Position Overview:
As a Lead Content Strategist for Computer Science and AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategy for our digital content offerings in computer science, AI, and related subjects. You will oversee the design, development, and delivery of K-12 curriculum content, ensuring it is aligned with current industry trends, educational standards, and the needs of modern learners. You will lead a team of content developers and subject matter experts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create engaging, high-quality educational resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Leadership:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the K-12 Computer Science and AI curriculum, ensuring alignment with national and international educational standards.
- Define and update learning objectives for various grade levels and ensure the curriculum fosters foundational and advanced knowledge of computer science and AI concepts.
- Ensure the curriculum is inclusive, accessible, and engaging for all learners, from beginners to advanced students.
- Content Strategy & Development:
- Oversee the creation and implementation of high-quality, interactive, and engaging digital content (videos, question bank, assessments, interactivities, projects, etc.) and Print Books for Computer Science and AI subjects.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders and content developers to build scalable and adaptable content across multiple platforms.
- Integrate best practices from industry (coding, data science, AI) to keep the curriculum up-to-date and future-facing.
- Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of subject matter experts.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure professional development opportunities for team members.
- Promote a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the technology, product, and marketing teams to align content with the company's overall strategic objectives and ensure smooth integration with the platform.
- Collaborate with educators and industry professionals to gather feedback on the effectiveness and relevance of the content.
- Quality Assurance & Impact Measurement:
- Oversee the quality assurance process for all content, ensuring it meets academic rigor and is free from errors.
- Use data and feedback from educators, students, and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and make iterative improvements.
- Ensure that content is scalable across various learning environments (classrooms, virtual learning, self-paced study, etc.).
- Innovation & Research:
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in computer science, AI, and K-12 education, and integrate relevant innovations into the curriculum.
- Promote the integration of project-based learning, hands-on activities, and real-world applications in AI and computer science education.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within curriculum development or content creation in the field of computer science, or AI for school students.
- Strong understanding of K-12 education, learning frameworks, and pedagogical best practices.
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing digital learning content for a range of learners.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams, managing projects, and delivering high-quality educational content.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in computer science, AI, coding languages (Python, Java, etc.), and related fields.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
- Familiarity with modern educational technologies, platforms, and tools.
- Ability to balance technical depth with educational accessibility for younger audiences.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in tracking and analyzing learning outcomes.
- Preferred Skills:
