Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - QA Lead

In this role, the candidate is supposed to possess deep expertise in Handling End to End test life cycle across Test Planning, Strategy, Execution and Test reporting phases

Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support in automation testing practices. Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance and morale.

  • Test Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive test automation strategy that aligns with project goals, timelines, and risk factors. Identify test cases suitable for automation and set coverage targets.

  • Tool and Framework Selection: Assess and select appropriate automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit) that fit the project's technology stack and business needs. Ensure the team effectively utilizes these tools.

  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with product and development teams to understand requirements and ensure that automation objectives align with overall quality goals. Participate in planning meetings to provide input on testing timelines.

  • Automation Framework Development: Design and implement robust automation frameworks that facilitate efficient testing processes. Continuously improve existing frameworks and testing strategies to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

  • Test Execution and Reporting: Oversee the execution of automated tests, analyze test results, and report defects to development teams. Ensure thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and scripts.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of quality and efficiency within the QA organization. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in automation testing

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with software quality through rigorous testing processes. Ensure that all development tasks meet quality criteria through effective test planning and execution.

Skills Required

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, along with experience in test automation frameworks and tools.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team, manage projects, and provide training and mentoring to team members.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities to analyze test results and identify areas for improvement.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams. Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems (IS), computer science or related field, or equivalent-related IT experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in SaaS platforms or the home/field service industries.

  • Knowledge of payments processing systems and security best practices

  • Exposure to legacy modernization projects and domain-driven testing.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
