Job Description

  • Lead and manage end-to-end RBI & FEMA compliance for multiple entities
  • Ensure compliance with regulations governing:
    • Foreign direct investments (FDI) and overseas investments (ODI)
    • Overseas subsidiaries
    • External Commercial Borrowings (ECB) and cross-border funding structures
  • Oversee timely and accurate filing of all RBI returns, including annual, periodic, and event-based compliances
  • Ensure all filings are audit-ready and aligned with regulatory expectations
  • Interpret and implement evolving FEMA regulations and RBI circulars
  • Partner closely with finance, legal, and secretarial teams to drive governance and compliance
  • Manage compliance across diverse financial instruments and transaction structures
  • Support regulatory and compliance aspects related to IPO readiness
  • Lead and mentor a small team

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate should be/have:

  • Qualified Company Secretary (CS) - mandatory
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in RBI/FEMA compliance
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
    • RBI filings and regulatory frameworks
    • FEMA regulations covering foreign investments and borrowings
  • Experience managing multi-entity and complex compliance structures
  • Ability to work independently in a high-accountability, lean team environment
