About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Servicing Representative.
In this role, you will:
Provide training and guidance to less experienced Commercial Loan Servicing representatives in interpreting and understanding complex policies as well as managing cross group projects
Research, respond to and resolve complex inquiries
Train others on complex loan agency inquiries and servicing language in loan documentation and interpretation, as well as an understanding of financial services and customer support
Coordinate and reconcile all loan advances and payments with member banks and customers and books letters of credit
Support loan trading and assignments
Prioritize work and provide day to day work leadership and mentorship to the support team
Lead or contribute to customer issue resolutions that require coordination amongst various teams
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders
Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 6 months of experience in loan operations, 6 months in loan servicing, 6 months in lending processes.
Job Expectations:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of loan transactions, including funding, booking, and servicing.
Review and validate loan documentation for completeness and compliance.
Manage Service Requests (SRs) within agreed SLAs and ensure quality checks before closure.
Collaborate with internal teams (Collateral, QC, DA) to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate records and regularly update shared drives and systems.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and risk mitigation.
Adhere to all regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert for Agency and Member loan processes and assist in training new team members.
Experience in trade settlements and familiarity with settlement timelines and processes.
Strong understanding of loan documentation, collateral management, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in loan management systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of Agency and Member loan processes preferred.
