Job Description

PMO Japanese Bilingual Position - N2 certification

As a PMO Consultant you will be a key driver of business value and transformation. You will move beyond traditional project management to ensure every initiative is strategically aligned with enterprise objectives, delivering measurable outcomes. In this role, you will champion a culture of agility and data-driven decision-making, leveraging advanced analytics and modern methodologies to optimize our project portfolio. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing actionable insights that guide investment and ensure the successful execution of our most critical business goals.

Core Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., CS/IT).
  • 6+ years of experience in a modern PMO, or consulting role within a dynamic IT or business transformation environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with a mix of project methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and hybrid models.
  • Prior work experience and domain knowledge in the insurance industry
  • Language proficiency:
  • English - A high degree of fluency is essential for all verbal and written communication
  • Japanese - Minimum requirement of Japanese language proficiency at the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N2 level or higher
  • Strategic & Technical Skills:
  • Data Fluency: Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) to create compelling, insight-driven reports.
  • Modern PM Tools: Expertise in Agile project management software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) with a proven ability to build dashboards that increase transparency and drive decisions.
  • Value-Driven Mindset: Experience enabling teams by leveraging flow metrics, Objective Key Results (OKRs), and value-based KPIs.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budget, forecasting, and resource capacity management to inform strategic investment decisions.
  • Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of modern technology landscapes, including CI/CD processes, release management strategies (e.g., A/B testing, Canary), and version control systems.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, and tell a compelling story with data.
  • Problem-Solving: Superior analytical and critical thinking skills to navigate ambiguity and solve complex challenges.
  • Influence & Collaboration: Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, building relationships and influencing effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Integrity: Exemplary judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist).
  • Strategic or Value-focused certifications (e.g., PMI-PMOCP, MoV, VMO-CP).
