Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned
Pega Business Architect to spearhead enterprise business analysis and shape the delivery of high-impact Pega solutions. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership acumen and deep expertise in Pega frameworks to translate complex business goals into robust, scalable solutions. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and a functional leader to delivery teams, driving solution excellence, governance, and measurable business outcomes.
Essential Technical Qualification:
- Mandatory - Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA)
- 7–11 years of experience in business analysis and solution design with significant hands-on experience in Pega BPM/CRM platforms.
- Strong expertise in Pega frameworks especially in Smart Dispute, case management lifecycle, workflow orchestration, and business rule modeling.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or large enterprise transformation programs. (Mandatory)
- Expertise in Card dispute processing processes like fraud and non-fraud claims; chargebacks, pre-arbitration, arbitration and representments for issuers and acquirers for VISA/Mastercard or other payment networks.
- Ability to identify feature differences from Pega Framework offerings to client requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in requirement elicitation, stakeholder workshops, and complex business process re-engineering.
- Expertise in business process modeling (BPMN/UML) and documentation of end-to-end As-Is and To-Be workflows.
- Expertise in usage of Pega Blueprint for running discovery sessions to create High Fidelity Blueprints and import them into the Pega platform to create the application foundation. Ability to use Blueprint Estimator for estimations.
- Ability to quickly develop comprehensive functional specifications, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with business goals. Knowledge of using AI accelerators for quick creation of such artefacts.
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog prioritization and sprint planning leadership.
- Strong expertise in Accelerated delivery models like Pega Blueprint delivered and in traditional delivery models like Pega Express.
- Knowledge of SDLC governance, identification of opportunities for Citizen-developer enablement and related strategies, quality standards, and enterprise delivery frameworks.
- Experience supporting UAT strategy, validation, and release readiness from a business perspective.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirement discovery and business analysis activities across complex Pega programs.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define solution scope, priorities, and business objectives.
- Translate business strategies into scalable functional designs aligned with Pega best practices.
- Provide functional leadership and mentorship to Business Architects and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate high-level workshops to define enterprise processes and transformation initiatives.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability and quality of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with solution architects and development teams to drive successful implementation.
- Oversee sprint planning, backlog management, and functional governance activities.
- Participate in executive reviews, solution demos, and stakeholder communications.
- Identify process optimization opportunities and recommend strategic improvements.
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards, compliance, and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualification: (Optional/Good to have)
- Experience in any other Pega frameworks: Underwriting, Customer Service, CLM/KYC, Smart Investigate.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to end-to-end project lifecycle including implementation and post-production support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in fast-paced delivery environments.
