Lead Business Analyst - P&C Insurance

We're Hiring: Consultant (Business Analyst) – Property & Casualty Insurance

Reports to: Manager, Consulting

Altrus AI is looking for a P&C Insurance Business Analyst who can turn complex business processes into clear, buildable system specifications. You'll be the link between our clients and our technical teams, making sure client requirements are fully delivered on core insurance platforms.

What you'll do

- Run workshops with business users to capture functional and non-functional requirements

- Turn operational needs across policy, underwriting, billing and claims into clear functional use cases and business process flows

- Run gap analysis on core insurance systems and propose solutions to close the gaps

- Work hands-on with product configuration tools, turning P&C product specifications (rating, coverages, rules) into system configurations

- Analyse data relationships, dependencies and processes, and map them into future system requirements

- Spot and flag business risks early so they don't carry over into the delivered system

- Work closely with development and testing teams so specifications are clearly understood

- Help build business and system test plans, and facilitate client UAT

- Produce high-quality documentation and progress reports for Lead Consultants and Project Managers

What you bring

- 6+ years in P&C / General Insurance, whether at an insurer, a consultancy or a system integrator

- 2+ years as a Business Analyst doing process analysis, specification writing and documentation

- Strong knowledge of P&C lines such as Motor, Property, Liability or Commercial, and the underwriting and claims processes behind them

- Experience setting up insurance products in a core insurance package

- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills

- Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills

- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- An undergraduate degree or diploma

Nice to have

- Insurance industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AINS, III)

- Membership of a relevant professional body
