JOB TITLE: LEAD, BRAND STRATEGY & B2B MARKETING

LOCATION: MUMBAI

ROLE:

This role sits at the intersection of creativity, data, and monetisation, responsible for developing compelling brand solutions for advertisers. You'll translate client objectives into innovative campaigns that leverage the platform's music, culture, audience insights, and ad formats.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Creative Strategy & Brand Solutions

  • Lead the development of integrated marketing solutions for brands across audio, display, video, on-ground activations.
  • Build narratives and campaign concepts rooted in music, culture, and audience behaviour
  • Customize client pitches and proposals aligned with brand KPIs (awareness, engagement, conversions)
  • Package platform capabilities into sellable creative propositions

2. B2B Marketing & Go-To-Market Strategy

  • Design and execute B2B marketing strategies to position the platform as a premium advertising partner
  • Create sales enablement materials (case studies, pitch decks, thought leadership content)
  • Partner with Sales to drive revenue growth via strategic storytelling
  • Identify new advertising opportunities, formats, and vertical-specific solutions

3. Client & Agency Collaboration

  • Work closely with brands, media agencies, and creative agencies to co-create campaigns
  • Act as a strategic consultant to clients on leveraging music and audio for marketing
  • Present ideas and solutions to senior stakeholders with clarity and persuasion

4. Insights & Data-Driven Storytelling

  • Use first-party data, audience insights, and listening trends to inform campaign strategy
  • Translate analytics into actionable creative ideas and narratives
  • Measure campaign effectiveness and refine solutions based on performance

5. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal teams: Product, Ad Ops, Content, Partnerships, and Sales
  • Drive execution of campaigns from ideation to launch
  • Ensure alignment between creative vision and platform capabilities

6. Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Stay ahead of trends in digital advertising, audio marketing, and branded content
  • Experiment with new formats (e.g., branded playlists, podcasts, immersive audio ads)
  • Represent the company in industry forums, client workshops, and event

REQUIREMENTS:

Core Skills

  • Strong creative thinking + strategic planning ability
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems (audio, programmatic, content marketing)
  • Expertise in storytelling, pitch creation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate data into compelling narratives

Experience

  • 8–12+ years in media, advertising, digital platforms, or brand strategy
  • Experience working with brands or agencies in a client-facing role
  • Proven track record of building innovative branded campaigns

  • Experience in music, entertainment, or media-tech platforms
  • Familiarity with youth culture, pop culture, and content trends
  • Understanding of regional markets especially for our platform

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue contribution via branded solutions
  • Success rate of client pitches
  • Campaign performance (engagement, reach, ROI)
  • Adoption of new ad formats and solutions
  • Client satisfaction and retention

Typical Deliverables:

  • Brand pitch decks and campaign proposals
  • Creative concepts (audio-first campaigns, branded playlists, artist collaborations)
  • Case studies and post-campaign reports
  • Thought leadership pieces (industry trends, insights reports)

Characteristics:

  • The candidate ideally is a creative storyteller, product evangelist and business strategist
  • Strong grasp of music culture + consumer behaviour
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment
  • Ability to balance innovation with scalability
  • Experience in music, entertainment, or media-tech platforms
  • Familiarity with youth culture, pop culture, and content trends
  • Understanding of regional markets especially for our platform
