WE'RE HIRING | VP / VERTICAL HEAD – BACKGROUND VERIFICATION

VeloxCheck™ is looking for an experienced and business-focused VP / Vertical Head – Background Verification to lead, grow and scale our Background Verification (BGV) business in India and international markets.

This is a leadership role with end-to-end ownership — from generating business and managing clients to operations, field teams, escalations, invoicing and payment collections.

Work Type: Remote
Working Days: Monday – Saturday
Salary: As per experience, knowledge & industry standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a senior professional with strong experience and in-depth knowledge of the Background Verification industry, who can independently drive both business development and operations.

The ideal candidate should have at least 7 to 10 years of experience in the Background Verification domain and experience in:

• BGV / Employee Background Verification
• Domestic & International BGV operations
• Sales & Business Development
• Enterprise / B2B client acquisition
• Client relationship & account management
• Operations & process management
• Field team / vendor network management
• Escalation & issue resolution
• Quality & TAT management
• Invoicing & commercial coordination
• Client payment collection / receivables
• Building and scaling BGV business
• Working with Corporates, BFSI, MNCs, Staffing & HR companies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales

- Generate new business and build a strong BGV client portfolio.
- Develop relationships with corporates, MNCs, BFSI, staffing companies and international clients.
- Drive revenue growth and identify new market opportunities in India and overseas.
- Build long-term strategic client relationships.

Operations

- Own end-to-end BGV operations and service delivery.
- Ensure quality, accuracy and agreed TAT across verification processes.
- Develop and improve SOPs, processes and operational controls.

Field Team Management

- Manage and scale field verification teams and vendor networks.
- Monitor productivity, quality and turnaround time.
- Ensure proper execution of field-level verification assignments.

Client & Escalation Management

- Act as the senior point of contact for key clients.
- Handle operational and commercial escalations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.

Invoicing & Collections

- Coordinate with finance and operations teams for accurate and timely invoicing.
- Follow up with clients for outstanding payments.
- Take ownership of receivables and payment recovery.

INDIA + INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE

We particularly value candidates who have hands-on knowledge of both Indian and overseas BGV markets and understand how verification requirements, client expectations and operational models differ across geographies.
