Lead Backend Engineer – Java, Cloud & Microservices

Location: Gurugram / Hybrid / Remote

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to design and deliver cloud‑native microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will lead engineering teams, collaborate with product and client stakeholders, and contribute to modern React.js + TypeScript based applications.

Key Responsibilities

· Architect and develop microservices and APIs using Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Cloud

• Design distributed systems using Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, SQL/NoSQL
• Deploy and operate services on AWS/Azure/GCP using Docker & Kubernetes
• Enable CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
• Collaborate with frontend teams using React.js and TypeScript
• Establish coding standards, testing strategies, and code reviews
• Implement observability (logs, metrics, traces) and support production systems
• Lead, mentor engineers, and work closely with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and clients

Required Skills

· 10+ years of backend engineering experience; 3+ years in a technical lead role

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Experience with Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Knowledge of distributed systems, performance tuning, and security
• Working exposure to React.js & TypeScript

Good to Have

· API Gateways, GraphQL, Resilience4j

· GitOps, cloud cost optimization

· Banking / financial domain compliance

• Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Analytics, Target, Commerce, Workfront, DAM)
