Lead Backend Engineer

What We're Looking For

8+ years of experience in backend development with Java (8/11/17)

Strong command over Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices Architecture

Experience in solution design/architecture, with the ability to break down complex business needs into scalable and modular components

Sound knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices

Strong expertise with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)

Experience building or scaling platforms or product-based systems (NOT just service-based projects)

Hands-on with cloud environments (AWS/Azure preferred), Docker, CI/CD tools

Exposure to distributed systems and performance optimization techniques

Great communication skills and leadership mindset

Bonus Points For

Prior experience in fintech, investment tech, or B2B SaaS platforms

Familiarity with Kafka, event-driven systems, GraphQL, Kubernetes

Experience leading pods or mentoring junior developers

Lead and architect key backend services

Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to define and shape features

Ensure code quality, security, and performance at scale

Drive best practices, reviews, and refactors as needed
