Lead Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Own backend architecture, system design, and technical decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
• Build and optimize REST APIs/microservices and database solutions.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Work closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and other teams.
• Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java / Node.js backend technology.
• Strong understanding of DSA, OOP, databases, APIs, and system design.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Prior experience leading projects or mentoring engineers.

Good to Have:

Experience handling high-scale systems and large data volumes.

Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, or similar technologies.

Experience owning backend architecture from 0→1.
